I recommend you to do a free walking  tour, but it starts early in the morning so organize it in advance and check the website the day before and confirm assistance: http://www.osakafreewalkingtour.com/ So I did my own w alking tour of the city's most renowned landmark! I went to the castle area which is free and visited  the Osaka Museum of History, but I didn’t go in as the weather was amazing, then explore the Otemon Gate of Osaka Castle, Houkoku Shrine and Castle Tower.  More info or book the tour:  https://www.veltra.com/en/asia/japan/osaka/a/126608 Then it was Okonomiyaki time!! I went for lunch to a tinny restaurant I found in trip advisor (Okonomiyaki chistoso), cheap and good, the restaurant is in a non touristic area, so it’s nice to get out from the crowded center. After lunch I went to Tennoji park, it was close to the restaurant, it was full of local people, lost of families, it was Saturday and a nice sunny day in the beginning of March....

Probably the best place to see Mount Fuji ( Fuji-San) but if the weather isn’t good, you probably won’t see it... You can buy several days pass which will allow you to move around Hakone area, minimum 2 days pass and you can take train, bus, cable car and boat. Very well organized! Spending 2 days in the area is more than enough unless you plan to do some hiking. We spent most of the day from one transport to another to do a whole loop and back to our hotel. I’d recommend you to stay in the mountains and not in Hakone village, so you don’t have to come back to the village and you can make the most of it. There are lots to see in Tokyo so take it easy, you can’t see everything in few days, but a good way of seeing a lot is booking a tour, free walking tours are my favorites! I did the tour:  Our Flagship Free Walking Tour of Tokyo I used  https://www.tokyolocalized.com/free-walking-tour , and it was very good! Check them out and choose your favorite! Then I went to Shimo-kitazawa, what a nice neighborhood! Full of restaurants, second hand shops, Rock&roll bars and more! Very authentic and not tourist! Went for dinner and had shabu shabu @ Nabezo. It was amazing, very yummy!  The next day, I visited the Gogoyi park 🌸 and did a walking tour: Meiji Jingu & Harajuku Free Walking Tour Tokyo with Tokyolocalized. Then went to Shibuya to see the famous crossing and had sushi 🍣 for lunch. You can have a nice view of the crossing from Starbucks or from the building next to it at the rooftop, for free. Even a rainy 🌧 ☔️ shity 💩 day it was amazing! It didn’t stop raining in the whole day... 🌧☔️🌧☔️🌧☔️ Visited Kanazawa-Shi under an umbrella ☂ and by bus 🚌 Visited Omicho market and Oyama Shinto temple first, then went to Kanazawa castle park and Kenrokuen garden, beautiful!!!! Even raining, grey, cold and still winter!! It was great! It’s the 3rd best garden in Japan! I can’t imagine the others and with a sunny day, blue sky, spring time and cherry blossom 🌸 ...!!! MIND BLOWING!! To finish we visited Higashi Chaya gai district, beautiful as well and where you can buy everything with gold, even ice cream or skin products!  Food recommendations: If you are vegan/vegetarian, Los Angeles burguer restaurant is really good, tasty veggie burger and rice bowls. Avoid the tiramisu and the coffee, not good! For dinner we had sushi 🍣 in Kourin restaurant! Yummy 😋 veggie options available.

The  Historic Village of Shirakawa-gō  is one of Japan's  UNESCO   World Heritage Sites . The valley is in a mountain region with considerable snowfall, and these villages are well known for their clusters of farmhouses, constructed in the architectural style known as  gasshō-zukuri  ( 合掌造り ), which are designed to easily shed snow from their roofs. We took the bus from the main train station in Kanazawa-Shi early in the morning to spend the day in the traditional village of Shirakawago. (Bus cost 3k¥ round trip and more than an hour to arrive, I recommend to book the bus in advance) We hiked up to the view point but you can take the bus for 200¥ and then walk around the village taking a hundred photos! Tips: Irori is a good place for lunch, great menu, tasty food and reasonably price. It can be cold, so take warm clothes.
