Port Barton - The Philippines

A great place if you want to relax, it’s small and quiet with backpacking vibe...
There are lots of restaurants and it’s easy to walk around.

How to get there, you can book from the hostel:
From El Nido by van - 600 pesos
From Puerto Princesa by van - 500 pesos, if you go to the bus station it will be cheaper.

Where to stay
Dragon House: cheap dorms next to the beach and restaurants, clean and you can use Moon resort, in fact Dragon house reception is in Moon resort.
Russell Place: if you don’t want to be in a dorm, these little huts are cheap and great price, they are very small and not next to the beach, but great if you don’t want to share room. There is also kitchen and free water.
CocoRico hostel is the party hostel in the area.

What to do: chill and watch the sunset every evening!
White beach: highly recommended, by boat or motorbike
By motorbike: 400 pesos to rent a bike the whole day
By boat: 300 pesos per person/ round trip
Nice beach to spend the day, it’s a private beach so you have to pay 50 pesos fee when you arrive.
There is only one restaurant, food was good and there are also bungalows at around 3k pesos / night

Boat tour
The landscape was not the best I ever seen but it was a good experience, we did snorkeling at the reef and saw Nemos (clown fish), blue start fish and many other fish! Amazing!
We had great food, we chilled at a nice beach and played volleyball. We then saw turtles and sting ray! Last stop was starfish spot! Amazing sea life!
The tour guide changes the order depending how many boats are around, he likes to be alone and I think that’s great! If you want his contact let me know!
Cost 1200 pesos and you need the eco card (50 pesos)

Place to eat: most of the places have similar price
Gacayan: great portions and good variety, also lots of locals go there!
Gorgonzola Pizza: a bit expensive but nice huge pizzas!
Mabuti: nice for salads
The food jeepney: good for breakfast

Places to drink
Native’bo Bar: Reggae bar with live music every night, you can stay at moon bar and listen the music from there too.
Deep moon has a nice chilled out area.

We were recommended jungle bar and mojitos but they were both far.

The best you can do here is take a book, sunbathe and relax...enjoy!
