Ha Giang Loop -Vietnam

Dong Van Karst Plateau UNESCO Global Geopark is located in the northeastern province of Ha Giang, a mountainous province located in the far north of Viet Nam. Ride through the towering mountains and deep valleys of Ha Giang located close to the Chinese border in Northern Vietnam. Along the way you will encounter winding rivers, ethnic villages and the outstanding Ha Giang Karst Plateau.

Riding for 3 days is enough, it can be quite tiring.
We rented bikes and did it on our own, at our pace, you can get a tour but it is going to be much more expensive.
Bike cost 120kD 5$/day, a tour can be 100$/day.
Accommodation is 5$/day and food is quite cheap.

Summary
Staring point: Ha Giang
1st stop: Dong Van, 160 km
2nd stop: Mau Due, 160 km (going to Lung Cu flag point first thing in the morning)
3rd stop: Back to Ha Giang, in our way we stopped for lunch here:
Tâm Family Homestay

That was a nice place, if you make it for the night, it looked good, they speak English, they have free water, tea and fruit! And food was tasty!
In general, there are enough places to stay/eat on the way, but not all are good!

Tips:
Don’t trust the weather forecast, it was completely wrong for us!
Take a poncho (raincoat), just in case.
Take warm clothes, the temperature is quite low compared with Hanoi.

Here is an excellent google maps route with lost of info and points of interest!!
